The Daredevil Christopher Wright are three modest dudes from the Midwest. In Deference To A Broken Back is their first full-length album. And on it, the band has crafted an indie-rockish sound that feels as if it is wrapped in a beach towel on a warm summer day while still covered in the dust of Grandpa's old phonographs; a wayward version of The Beach Boys seated in the passenger's seat of Sufian Stevens' convertible, speeding down a highway somewhere between Iowa and Michigan's upper peninsula in April, when the dirt is mud and the green is making itself known again.
